2. Commemorative Tree & Bench Program

   The Parks and Recreation Department offers a commemorative tree and bench program, allowing applicants to work with staff to select a meaningful location within the City’s parks. This is a wonderful way to honor a special occasion, such as the birth of a child, a milestone birthday, a wedding anniversary, or the memory of a loved one.

   Commemorative Trees – $600

   If you choose a tree, your donation includes planting and mulching, recognition on a plaque at the Community Center, and a commemorative tree certificate. Trees are planted in the spring or fall to ensure a healthy transition to the ground.

   Commemorative Benches – $1,500

   Benches provide a lasting tribute while offering a place for visitors to sit and enjoy the beauty of nature. Your donation covers the installation of a bench in your chosen park, a concrete pad (if necessary), a plaque mounted on the bench recognizing your contribution, and a commemorative bench certificate. City staff will work with you to determine an appropriate location, and bench styles will match existing benches in the selected park.
