[ARCHIVED] Crestwood Receives Two Proposals for Mall Redevelopment

Crestwood Placeholder News Item

CRESTWOOD, MO August 20, 2020 – The City of Crestwood received two submissions in response to its request for redevelopment proposals of the former Crestwood Mall site.

City staff are reviewing the proposals for completeness, and preparing a recommendation based upon the criteria specified in the request for proposals.

“The City is excited that developers showed an interest in helping us achieve our goal of redeveloping the former mall site,” said Mayor Grant Mabie, “we look forward to reviewing these proposals in detail and selecting a project to move forward.”

The proposals cannot be shared publicly, said City Administrator Kris Simpson, due to the sensitivity of real estate negotiations. "We will share details as soon as is reasonably possible,” he said.

The City’s request for proposals was issued on June 19th, and gave interested parties 60 days to submit a detailed redevelopment proposal for the mall site.
