[ARCHIVED] Waste Connections - Changes to Trash Services Starting March 1

Waste Connections Logo

Waste Connections will be continuing its current relationship with Crestwood residents for the next several years, after the Board of Aldermen approved an extension of their current contract. The new contract increases rates just $1 to $21.67 per month for trash, recycling, and yard waste. ‘‘We are thrilled with the minimal rate increase,’’ said Mayor Scott Shipley. ‘‘Some communities have seen their rates soar to over $40 per month as a result of increasing costs and inflation. To achieve this small increase is great news for Crestwood residents.’’

When the new contract begins on March 1, ALL Waste Connections services will be fully automated.  This will mean that only the contents within the carts will be collected (no materials left outside the cart will be picked up). An appropriate distance is also required for all cans along the curb line.

Waste Connections will assist residents to make sure their trash carts are compatible with automated pick-up. New trash, recycling, and yard waste carts are included in the contract at no charge for those who need them. The carts will be dropped off by the vendor before March 1.
