Applications to appear before the Planning Commission must be filed at least four weeks before the meeting date. Applicants should request a pre-meeting with the city planner at least one week before the application deadline to discuss procedures and requirements.

Note: The Planning Commission typically makes a recommendation to the Board of Aldermen, which must then enact an ordinance or resolution to formally approve a request. This process requires a minimum of two readings, which may take two Board of Aldermen meetings. Plan for at least eight weeks from the Planning Commission filing deadline to final action by the Board of Aldermen.
