The Crestwood Night Out is an annual event sponsored by the Crestwood Police Department.

Crestwood Night Out is an effort to heighten crime deterrence through strengthening neighborhood spirit, and bonds of friendship. Neighborhoods throughout Crestwood organize block parties, ice cream socials, cookouts, and events for children.

Each year, one party is selected as the party that best represents the spirit of Crestwood Night Out.  A plaque hangs in the Police Department lobby with the names of the winners from each year.

Officers and staff of the Crestwood Police Department join in the neighborhood celebrations.  McGruff the Crime Dog also makes special appearances on Crestwood Night Out.

Crestwood Night Out was moved to September from the National Night Out usual date in August due to the high temperatures that Crestwood can have in August.  The September date normally brings cooler weather.

Any Crestwood resident who is interested in coordinating a neighborhood event, or would like to know more, may contact the City of Crestwood's Public Safety Administrative Assistant, Kathy Naccarato at: knaccarato@cityofcrestwood.org.
