Community Center

The Crestwood Community Center was built in 1978. The facility is 22,000 square feet in size and includes a gymnasium (70X90, 6300 square feet), three meeting rooms, a fitness center, a dance gym, two racquetball courts, locker rooms, restrooms, atrium, lounge area and administrative offices for the parks and recreation department. The Community Center staff will help you register for programs, purchase facility memberships, reserve picnic pavilions and ball fields and assist you with anything related to the Parks and Recreation Department. In addition, the staff programs a wide variety of special events, sports, fitness, arts and crafts, trips, dance, and other activities that can be found in the program guide -Crestwood RecConnect.

 Fair Play Policy

The Crestwood Parks and Recreation Department offers opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Our goal is to provide for personal growth in a safe environment. Please assist us in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment by following our Fair Play Policy. Individuals using parks and recreation facilities are expected to:

  • Wear appropriate attire including a shirt and shoes in the Community Center.
  • Refrain from using abusive or profane language.
  • Refrain from placing themselves and/or others at risk (i.e., hitting, fighting, biting, kicking, spitting, etc.).
  • Respect one another and one another's belongings.
  • Respect others right to an odor free environment by using proper hygiene and refraining from use of scented products that produce any noticeable smell that others may find offensive or to which they have medical sensitivities.
  • Not participate in any unlawful activities (i.e., illegal drugs, weapons, vandalism, stealing, etc.).
  • Remain with their instructor; follow directions to the best of their ability and refrain from causing disruptions and respect the equipment, supplies and facilities.
  • Persons who endanger the safety of themselves or others will be removed from the park facility and/or recreation program. Other infractions of the rules will be handled as deemed necessary by the parks and recreation department staff. If children are involved, their parents and/or guardian will be contacted. The safety of our participants is our primary concern.

Inclement Weather Policy

In the event of snow, morning programs or activities at the Crestwood Community Center will be CANCELED and the building will not open until 9 am if the Lindbergh School District has canceled school for the day OR is operating on a snow schedule. A determination will be made at 11 am on programs taking place in the afternoon and evening. The Community Center staff will NOT call program participants to notify them of cancellations unless an instructor cannot make it in and we are open. Please listen for school closings on the radio, call 314-729-4860 after 11 am or call our Weather Hotline at 314-909-0405 to determine if your class will still be taking place.

The Crestwood Parks and Recreation Department strives to provide quality recreation programs for you and your family.

  • If you participate in a program and find that the quality does not meet your expectations, please notify us with your concerns in writing. We will refund your program fee in full.
  • If you register for a program and later determine you will not be able to attend the class, let us know at least five days before the start of the class. If someone fills your spot before the start of the program, we'll refund your program fee minus a $3 service charge.
  • If you are unable to participate in a recreation program due to a health reason, present a physician's statement as proof of illness and we will refund your program fee minus a $3 service charge. If the program has already begun, you will receive a pro-rated amount for the number of classes still remaining.
  • If we cancel a program or change the program dates or times making it impossible for you to participate, we will send you a full refund.
  • Refunds for registrations made with cash or check will be sent by mail to the address on your registration form. Refunds for registrations made with MasterCard/Visa will be credited to your charge account. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing.
  • Leagues, tournaments, trips, camps and special events are exempt from this policy.

The programs and facilities of the Crestwood Parks and Recreation Department are available to people of all abilities. If accommodations are needed to participate, please notify us when registering or at least 48 hours in advance by calling us at (314) 729-4860 (voice) or use Relay Missouri 1-800-735-2966 (TDD). If we are unable to meet your needs, there is a grievance procedure available for ADA concerns.

She is responsible for facilitating the inclusion of people with disabilities in our recreation programs.
