Court sessions are held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 pm. The first docket of the month is traffic; the second docket of the month is general ordinance violations and the third docket of the month is the trial docket, if applicable. Please refer to the Court Calendar.  Cases are heard on a first come, first serve basis.

A continuance is the delay and rescheduling of a court proceeding. A request for a continuance cannot be granted over the phone.  An application for continuance in an ordinance case is made by a written motion. However, in some instances the request may be made orally before the judge.  If you have any questions, please contact the court. 

**If your case includes issues of compliance (i.e. Expired License Plates, No Insurance, etc), please bring proof of that updated compliance with you to Court. This will be required by the Judge and/or Prosecuting Attorney during Court.

Courtroom Rules

  • All cell phones must be turned off.
  • No talking, unless it's to the Judge or other staff members.
  • No food, drink or smoking is allowed.
  • An appropriate dress code is required.  Shirts and shoes are required at all times. No hats, caps, tank tops, offensive t-shirts, etc. are allowed at any time.

The prosecuting attorney is available to meet with attorneys, complainants and/or victims on docket nights beginning at 6:45 p.m.

Attorneys:

All attorneys must first, e-file all entry of appearances for their clients with the Court. The Crestwood Municipal Court only recognizes entries that are filled electronically or entered at the bench with the judge during a regularly scheduled court docket.

All attorneys must also file for their clients with the Prosecuting Attorney's Office. The Prosecutor will accept attorney entries and requests for recommendations to the mailed in - please include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope (SASE) - to

The prosecutor will also accept entries and requests to be e-mailed to prosecutor@cityofcrestwood.org.  As of October 1, 2019, the City of Crestwood no longer accepts Law Source Live or Faxed entries.
