The Planning & Zoning Commission approved a minor site plan for Dogs For Our Brave, a nonprofit organization that boards and trains service dogs for military veterans, at its Dec. 3 meeting. Their new facility will be located at 9960 Watson Road, the former site of a National Tire & Battery service center.
Dogs For Our Brave’s mission is to provide professionally trained service dogs at no cost to wounded veterans who have honorably served our country.
According to the organization, approximately 85% of the new building’s square footage will be dedicated to dog welfare and training, supporting its focus on veterans with significant mobility challenges and ensuring the ability to serve both new and existing veteran partners.
