Chief of Police Jonathan Williams has spent over 20 years in law enforcement serving the St. Louis area. Before his appointment as Chief of the Crestwood Police Department, he spent his entire career with the Webster Groves Police Department.

Chief Williams’s prior experience includes patrol officer, detective with the St. Louis County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, task force officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, field training officer, sergeant, and lieutenant. He retired from Webster Groves as platoon commander in the Division of Field Operations.

Chief Williams holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Sociology from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, and a Master of Arts in Management and Leadership (graduate academic honors) from Webster University. He also graduated from the Missouri Police Chiefs Charitable Foundation Command College in 2020.

In his spare time, Chief Williams enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. If he is not with his family, you can find him on a golf course.
