About Alderperson Now

Term: April 2024 to April 2027

In 2005, Alderperson Now and her daughter relocated to Crestwood when her daughter was 12 years old. As a single mother, she chose Crestwood over neighboring municipalities when returning to the St. Louis area after 27 years in California. The City’s beautiful homes, excellent public schools, and safe environment made it the ideal place to call home.

Throughout her career, Alderperson Now has held diverse roles, including executive positions at Macy’s department store, small business ownership, and serving as a sales representative before becoming a Chamber of Commerce executive. After retiring in 2023, she has dedicated her time to passions such as gardening, enjoying theater and music performances, staying active, and leading her nonprofit organization, Voices of American HERstory.

She is a Distinguished Toastmaster and earned a bachelor’s degree from Webster University in 2021 while working full time. Her literary work, Borrowed Courage, which explores the lives of women in American history, was recently honored with an award and inspired her to bring their stories to life through a reenactment troupe.

Alderperson Now envisions a future for Crestwood that balances economic prosperity with the city’s welcoming atmosphere and commitment to safety for families. She is honored to serve on the Board of Aldermen and welcomes residents to reach out with any thoughts or concerns.
