After graduating from the St. Charles County Police Academy in early 1997, Lieutenant Hoffmeister began his law enforcement career as a patrol officer with the Ferguson Police Department.
In October 1998, Lt. Hoffmeister was hired by the Crestwood Police Department and served the community in the following capacities: patrol officer, field training officer, Crisis Intervention Team, detective, acting supervisor, patrol sergeant, and Major Case Squad member. He was promoted to lieutenant in 2018 and currently serves as the field operations commander, leading the department’s patrol, traffic, and communications divisions.
Lt. Hoffmeister has attended the FBI Gateway Law Enforcement Executive Seminar, possesses multiple emergency management certifications, and has served as a supervisor for the Clayton Command as well as other civil disturbance events.
He grew up in North St. Louis County and graduated from Lutheran High School North in 1983.
