Deputy Chief of Police

Deputy Chief of Police Mike Ford grew up a resident of the City of Crestwood, graduating from Lindbergh High School in 1987. He was promoted to Deputy Chief in June 2020, after nearly 25 years with the Department. 

Deputy Chief Ford is a 1992 graduate of the St. Charles County Police Academy. Following graduation, he worked for more than three years as a uniformed police officer for the City of Normandy, Missouri.

In April 1996, Deputy Chief Ford joined the Crestwood PD as a patrol officer. Over the years, he has served as a patrol officer and patrol sergeant as well as served as a detective and detective sergeant. Deputy Chief Ford served as the department's evidence officer for more than eight years and is a current member of the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis.

Additionally, Deputy Chief Ford holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Columbia College. He is an avid sports fan and follows the Cardinals, Blues, and Missouri Tigers football and basketball.
