Chief of Police

Chief of Police Jonathan Williams has spent over 20 years in law enforcement serving the St. Louis area. Prior to his appointment to Chief of the Crestwood Police Department, he spent his entire career with the Webster Groves Police Department.  

Chief Williams’s prior experience includes Patrol Officer, Detective with the St. Louis County Multi-Jurisdictional Drug Task Force, Task Force Officer with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, Field Training Officer, Sergeant, and Lieutenant. He retired from Webster Groves as a Platoon Commander in their Division of Field Operations.

Chief Williams graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a Minor in Sociology from DePauw University in Greencastle, IN and a Masters of Arts (Graduate Academic Honors) in Management and Leadership from Webster University. Chief Williams also graduated from the Missouri Police Chief’s Charitable Foundation Command College in 2020.   

In his spare time, Chief Williams enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children. If he is not with his family, you can find him on a golf course.
